What Does A Cracked Windscreen Look Like?
This is a picture of a cracked, or fractured windscreen.
The damage has caused a circular like break, which we refer to as a “bulls eye”
Most windscreens will start to crack when the windscreen gets a small stone chip.
These stone chips often start out very small, but extreme sunlight, and heat can cause the crack to develop rapidly.
It is for this reason that we suggest our clients attend to minor windscreen damage as soon as it occurs, to prevent a crack like the above from deveolping.
Most windscreen chips can be repaired quickly and inexpensively.
Repairing a stone chip in the windscreen will restore the windscreen to its full strength.
Windscreens play a vital role in driver safety, accounting for up to 40% of the structural rigidity in the modern car.
