2005 BMW 3 Series E49 Sedan Auto Glass

 2005 BMW 3 Series 318i – 4 Door Windscreen Replacement.

This model of BMW has a rain sensor attached to the windscreen and needs to be replaced correctly, and with the original part.

Mobile auto glass service is a preferable option for this type of vehicle as this windscreen, once replaced must sit still for at least 6 hours.

This is simply because the vehicle is equipped with mutliple frontal airbags.  If an airbag has to deploy, it will deflect from the front windscreen.

Because the windscreen is bonded to the vehicle body with a urethane adhesive, this adhesive must be given time to set before it will take full strength.

Your glazier will advise you of the correct curing time on the day of the replacement, as time do vary depending on humidity, and vehicle body temperature.

For this reason, most clients prefer to have their windscreen replaced at home so the vehicle can sit there to get the allocated curing time.
